BREAK BULK CONTAINER

BREAK BULK CONTAINER

Our split lifting operation, referred to as Break Bulk Container (or MORE FLAT RACKS AS BED = BREAK BULK CONTAINER), is a subdivision between the transportation of single special containers and the transportation of bulk carriers. If the cargo is placed on a single flat container to block the flat container lifting point, the height of the cargo combined with the thickness of the box has exceeded the terminal lifting limit or land transportation restrictions and the weight of the cargo exceeds the maximum load of a single flat container, it can not be loaded on a single flat container for shipment, but you can choose to take the “separation of the box” mode of operation, that is, according to the size, shape and reinforcement needs of the goods, firstly, one or several flatbed containers will be laid flat in the cabin of the container ship to form a “pallet”; then the goods will be lifted onto this “pallet” and strapped and reinforced on the ship; when the ship arrives at the destination port, the ship will be untied, and then the goods and flatbed containers will be lifted separately off the ship. When several flatbed containers are required, the cargo is usually stowed in the container ship’s hold in the way of Athwart-ships Stow.

Split-loading operation is a customized transportation solution with numerous steps and complex processes, which requires the carrier to coordinate with different participants in the whole service chain and strictly control the end-to-end time requirements during the operation to ensure the cargoes are loaded and shipped out and arrive at the port on time. For each BB Container cargo transportation, it is necessary for the shipping company to submit an application in writing to the terminal in advance and provide relevant information, such as: the number of flatbed containers, ship’s stowage plan, cargo packaging, center of gravity and lifting point, lashing material provider, horizontal transportation mode, on-site notary public, etc., and confirm the relevant fees with the terminal before the operation can start. China Sea has accumulated rich experience in the practice of split lifting operation projects for many years, and has formed a good partnership with shipowners, terminals, fleets, lashing companies and third-party supervisory and inspection companies, which can provide customers with carefree, cost-effective and caring transportation services for split lifting operation.
