PROJECT CARGO LOGISTICS

For a large quantity of goods, the transportation cost of bulk carrier is relatively lower. However, the shipping schedule of bulk carriers is affected by the loading and unloading efficiency of terminals and the weather, which is prone to be delayed. Cargoes need to be reinforced twice during loading, which requires high level of port operation in loading and unloading ports, and is prone to cargo damage during lifting and sailing. Due to cargo allocation, some cargoes may need to be loaded on the deck, which is weak in waterproof and easily affected by dampness.

From the point of view of saving transportation cost and feasibility, bulk and miscellaneous cargoes whose weight or size greatly exceeds the operating capacity of container liner can be chosen to be transported by bulk and miscellaneous vessels, such as: large generating sets, large yachts, locomotives, moving equipment, large mining equipment, wind turbines, heavy machinery and equipment, and so on. Break bulk vessels are specialized in transporting non-packaged goods and bulk cargo, and have a wider range for cargo weight and size.

China Sea has been specializing in the transportation of vehicles, machinery, equipment and other bulky cargoes over the long term, and has maintained close communication and good cooperation with most of the break bulk carriers and shipowners in the shipping market. Our transportation routes cover Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, the Mediterranean Sea and Australia and other importing countries of large machinery and equipment. We understand the characteristics of each shipowner, and are capable of designing professional transportation solutions and providing good services for our customers according to their requirements in terms of sailing schedule and ship loading.

PROJECT CARGO LOGISTICS

Are the goods you want to transport oversized, overweight or urgent? China Sea Special Projects Department can provide you fast, flexible and attentive project logistics services.

Project logistics is a customized logistics service with highly professional requirements, which has strict requirements on transport efficiency and cost budget. China Sea has cultivated a professional and efficient operation team for large-scale engineering logistics projects in years of practice, and has formed a set of process system and transportation safety management mechanism for cross-border engineering project logistics services. China Sea can customize the logistics solutions according to the different needs of the project customers and implement the comprehensive logistics services such as transportation plan, document production, warehousing, customs clearance, loading and unloading, etc.

China Sea fully understands the difficulties of cross-border transportation of large equipment, so for special cargoes such as large equipment, heavy equipment, precision instruments, etc., China Sea can provide ” worry-free” project logistics management services, including route survey, selection of special vehicles, design of lifting and reinforcement programs, management of the transportation process and risk control.

BB CONTAINER

Our split lifting operation, referred to as BB Container (or MORE FLAT RACKS AS BED = BREAK BULK CONTAINER), is a subdivision between the transportation of single special containers and the transportation of bulk carriers. If the cargo is placed on a single flat container to block the flat container lifting point, the height of the cargo combined with the thickness of the box has exceeded the terminal lifting limit or land transportation restrictions and the weight of the cargo exceeds the maximum load of a single flat container, it can not be loaded on a single flat container for shipment, but you can choose to take the “separation of the box” mode of operation, that is, according to the size, shape and reinforcement needs of the goods, firstly, one or several flatbed containers will be laid flat in the cabin of the container ship to form a “pallet”; then the goods will be lifted onto this “pallet” and strapped and reinforced on the ship; when the ship arrives at the destination port, the ship will be untied, and then the goods and flatbed containers will be lifted separately off the ship. When several flatbed containers are required, the cargo is usually stowed in the container ship’s hold in the way of Athwart-ships Stow.

Split-loading operation is a customized transportation solution with numerous steps and complex processes, which requires the carrier to coordinate with different participants in the whole service chain and strictly control the end-to-end time requirements during the operation to ensure the cargoes are loaded and shipped out and arrive at the port on time. For each BB Container cargo transportation, it is necessary for the shipping company to submit an application in writing to the terminal in advance and provide relevant information, such as: the number of flatbed containers, ship’s stowage plan, cargo packaging, center of gravity and lifting point, lashing material provider, horizontal transportation mode, on-site notary public, etc., and confirm the relevant fees with the terminal before the operation can start. China Sea has accumulated rich experience in the practice of split lifting operation projects for many years, and has formed a good partnership with shipowners, terminals, fleets, lashing companies and third-party supervisory and inspection companies, which can provide customers with carefree, cost-effective and caring transportation services for split lifting operation.
